After a court-ordered suspension of the rule earlier this year, hobbyists must again register their drones with the FAA for a small fee.

The reinstatement comes with the signing into law of the National Defense Authorization Act, which includes a provision requiring all drones weighing between .55 and 55 pounds to be registered.
